Dawn Teague
Hi my name is Dawn Teague, I
have been training since 1978 when I started in Broad Ripple with Bill Worley. I
have been teaching Obedience Classes since 1990. At this time I teach Puppy
Classes and Basic Obedience on Tuesday nights. I also do in home training for
people who are not able to attend a class atmosphere. After I train the dog and
get basic control, I then teach the owners to pick up where I left off, and the
importance of following through. My goal in teaching and training is to educate
the owners about their dogs and to understand their behavior. How to fix the
problems and enjoy their dog to the fullest. Many times people come to Obedience
Class as a last resort before getting rid of their pet. My reward is when the
owner says " I love my dog and enjoy and understand him and now
he is part of our family".
I have 2 Australian
Kelpies-Zipper and Retic, they hold a CGC title and are my active Search Dogs.
Zipper holds an International Certification in Recovery. A major passion of mine
is ADVANCE K9 SEARCH & RECOVERY Inc. which I founded. Our goal with our Search
Unit (which consist of volunteers) is to provide a service to the public to help
find a lost person whether it is a child or adult using our K9s. Or provide
support to family members after their loved one has been located. Zipper and I
are a K9 Resource for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Thank you for visiting our site and I hope to meet you in the future.
HAVE A GREAT DAY
