Joann Peavler
Hi, I am the owner and one of the Instructors at Indy K-9 Kollege. I have been training dogs for over 15 years officially. Ever since I was a child, I've been training dog for the fun of it, nothing official.
Currently, I have had 4 Golden Retrievers and a pug. I have AKC Obedience Titles on two of them. "Doc" is retired now at the age of 13. He has his CD, CDX and CGC through the American Kennel Club. In addition to his titles, he has been able to compete in National Tournaments and even appear on some TV commercials.
My dogs and I have also enjoyed doing Pet Therapy at St. Francis Hospital. Jazmin lived to be 15 years old and was made for pet therapy. She truly enjoys going and visiting with the people in the hospital, after about an hour she is exhausted. She is the mother of my other two dogs - Doc and Annie.
Annie was my stay at home dog, she lived to be 12 years old. She enjoys hanging out at home with dad. I was planning on getting her CD title, but she has seizures and I do not want to put any more stress on her!
I took over Indy K-9 Kollege in 2001. I had been an instructor there for some time and decided to give in to my passion and buy the business when the previous owner decided to retire! I enjoy talking with people everyday about their dogs and want to help people keep their dogs for ever. I have taught Puppy, Basic and Intermediate/Canine Good Citizens classes. I am a certified AKC Evaluator for CGC and am working toward being certified by Delta and Therapy Dogs International.
Now that you know a little bit about me, please visit the rest of our Web Site and give us a call and see what we can do for you! I hope to meet you and your dog soon!
