Leah Snyder

Hello, my name is Leah Snyder. I teach puppy kindergarten at Indy K-9 Kollege on Saturday mornings. I have been an instructor here at Indy K-9 Kollege for a total of seven years. I own one Great Pyrenees, a male. I have had five dogs in my lifetime, all of which have left us at a ripe old age. My current dog is Ike, a three year old.

My career in dogs began when my third child decided it would be great fun for him and mom to show our Great Pyrenees. Before we started our journey, it was important to us that the 140 pound dog we were going to show be an obedient one. When my son went off to college, I continued with the showing. Therein started my career in obedience.

Some of my experiences with dogs include: Conformation showing and breeding. I was an original founder of the Great Pyrenees Club of Indiana and a member for eight years. I was a member of the Great Pyrenees Club of America for 12 years, and their breed rescue for Indiana. Member of the Board of Directors, Hendricks Co. Humane Society. Director and Training Director of Indiana K-9 Search and Rescue, handler for SAR dog, Ike. In my spare time, I successfully raised four children.

It is my pleasure to work with puppies and give each and every one a great start with their new families. I hope you will give me the opportunity to spend time with you and your new puppies.
