Pat Kelly Strong

Hi my name is Pat Kelly and I have been training dogs for over 25 years. Like most people, I took my 4 year old Maltese through a beginning class, and have been working with dogs ever since. I have trained and shown 5 Maltese and they all had CD’s, 2 had CDX’s and I showed one in Utility. I then became acquainted with a very nice dog trainer who had Golden Retrievers and I decided to try one. My first Golden Retriever, Tobi completed her UDX and she also achieved the title OTCh (Obedience Trial Champion). My 2nd Golden Retriever is presently being shown in Utility. I have taught and assisted classes from beginning to advanced levels since 1986. I also do some private lessons for problem solving and show preparation.

I have been approved to judge all classes in Obedience for the United Kennel Club since 1988. I am approved to judge all non-regular Obedience classes and to administer the Canine Good Citizenship test for the American Kennel Club. I have judged 4-H obedience and showmanship classes at the county and township level. In addition, I have judged the first American Mixed Breed Dog Obedience tournament held in Indianapolis in April of 2002.

I have participated in several Regional and Classic Tournaments and the World Series of dog obedience.

In real life, I am a mother of 3 and have 6 grandchildren and work a 40 hours a week job as a Eligibility Analyst for a medical insurance administrator.
